WP11.3 - Recommended communication and dissemination strategy for FIRE PARADOX

A communication and dissemination strategy for Fire Paradox will be developed in this work package. On the basis of the "best practices" in communication on forest fires and the innovation opportunities which were presented, Fire Paradox will:

• develop some prototypes of communication tools and test them. We will try also to develop a partnership with an important media in order to analyze the possibility of developing a film or other audiovisual products. Of course, if it is possible, it is probably one of the best opportunities to disseminate information on Fire Paradox. But the first objective of the WP11.3 is to recommend a communication strategy and not to produce achieved communication tools; in general, for the communication tools prototypes proposed in the WP11, we have to underline that we will present only limited prototypes of the tools in order to illustrate the types of tools linked to the proposed communication strategy. The production of a professional and achieved tool would absorb the whole budget since costs in this sector are very high. But we will mobilise students teams to realise relevant but limited projects. Our added value will be in every case concentrated on the communication process and on the definition of the communication strategy: which message? which channel?

• organize a seminar to present and discuss the communication strategy and the tools suggested. This seminar is a checkpoint before the final report since it will enable experts to validate, improve, amend our proposals;

• write the final report recommending the communication and dissemination strategy to the European Commission.
