Fuel Database
The Fire Paradox Fuel Database stores quantitative and qualitative descriptions of fuel architecture at different scales, in order to assess the fuel complex and its fire potential from combustion to the landscape level. Currently access to the database is restricted to those partners in the Fire Paradox project.
The database has a flexible structure with the fuel particle as the elementary unit, with its properties. The particles which can be combined in fuel complexes, according to different approaches (biological, functional and spatial) and at different scales. It currently contains following fuel data:
- cube model data (INRA, Cemagref)
- plot/stand data (UTAD)
- fuel models (Rothermel) (Switzerland, Greece)
- FuelManager (INRA), for the management of Cube model data and the creation of Scenes as input files for FireTech and FireStar
- FuelSwing (UEDIN), for the analysis of local fuel databases (prototype version)
